Our story

Rooted in faith

At home in Atlanta since the 1980s

A handful of families drawn to Georgia in the 1980s have grown into a community of 357 members and more than 120 families across Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee — students, professionals, entrepreneurs and homemakers.

Imadi Masjid
Inaugurated in 2026 on Beaver Ruin Road in Lilburn — the community’s home for prayers, celebrations and events.
Education
Learning comes first for the community’s young members, many of them at Georgia Tech and Emory.
Hospitality
Ramadan iftar dinners with interfaith friends, and Dawoodi Bohra cuisine shared at local fairs and Georgia’s National Peanut Festival.
Khidmat
Adopt-A-Road with Gwinnett County, Habitat for Humanity builds, tree planting, and support for local families with ICNA Relief.
