These terms are an agreement between you and Atlanta Jamaat, the Dawoodi Bohra community of Atlanta, Georgia ("Atlanta Jamaat", "we"), about the Atlanta Jamaat app and website (the "app"). By using the app you accept them. Our Privacy Policy says how we handle information about you and is part of these terms.
Who may use the app
The app is for members of the jamaat who hold an ITS number, and for the volunteers and administrators the jamaat appoints. Your sign-in is yours alone: keep your password to yourself, sign out on shared devices, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for the jamaat's purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and, for the App Store version, to the usage rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. The app, its design and its words belong to Atlanta Jamaat or its licensors; you may not copy, sell, rent or reverse engineer it.
Using it well
- Use the app for yourself and your household, and treat what it shows you about other members with the same care you would want for your own family. Do not collect, publish or pass on member information beyond the jamaat's work.
- Signups, requests and feedback you submit should be true and your own.
- Do not try to reach parts of the app you are not given access to, load it with automated requests, or interfere with its running.
Schedules, services and payments
Thaali menus, miqaat programmes, namaaz times and other information in the app are provided to help members and may change; please confirm anything that matters with the jamaat office. Jamaat dues are paid through PayPal on PayPal's site under PayPal's terms; the app never handles your card or bank details.
No warranty and our liability
The app is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. Atlanta Jamaat is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the app or from information in it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending access
You can stop using the app at any time and sign out of every device from its Security page. We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or is no longer a member.
Changes
We may update these terms; the new version appears here with a new date, and using the app after that means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
For the App Store version
- This agreement is between you and Atlanta Jamaat only, not Apple. Atlanta Jamaat, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Atlanta Jamaat alone is responsible for maintenance and support of the app; Apple has no obligation to provide any.
- The app is free. Should it fail to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty is Atlanta Jamaat's responsibility.
- Atlanta Jamaat, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claim by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection or similar law.
- If a third party claims that the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Atlanta Jamaat, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States Government embargo or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app, such as PayPal's or your carrier's.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this agreement and may enforce it against you.
